A new strand of horror

This week, Cemetery Dance Publications have announced an incredibly exciting and ground-breaking collection, available in hardback for the first time. The Century’s Best Horror Fiction is edited by genre aficionado John Pelan and brings together the most notable story from every year between 1901 and 2000. The authors featured in this incredible tome reads as a ‘who’s who’ of horror writers over the previous century and includes stories from such legends as H.P. Lovecraft, M.R. James, Stephen King, Ramsey Campbell and Richard Matheson amongst others. The Century’s Best Horror Fiction is a 1,700 page, 700,000 word bible for fans of genre fiction and works off a simple principle – ‘Only one selection per author. Elsewhere in the world of horror fiction, Stoker Award nominated author, Jeff Strand releases new book A Bad Day for Voodoo. This special edition tome, from DarkFuse publications, will only be available as 100 hardcover books, with no paperback or ebook versions ever to be produced. A Bad Day for Voodoo is the story of Tyler who makes a voodoo doll of his most hated teacher Mr Click. Thanks for the mention, Dan! However, the DarkFuse newsletter was a bit misleading; though DarkFuse will not be publishing another edition, there will be a paperback and e-book of A BAD DAY FOR VOODOO in June 2012 from Sourcebooks!
